Arbor Day!

Vince and his brother Mario built this beautiful arbor in our backyard.  The old one one fell apart so they designed a new one and built it from scratch.  Very impressive boys!  I'm thinking I'll plant Morning Glory to vine up the arbor.

Double Duty today - Chris Elsenbroek and Jennifer Barrett

Recorded two demos today.  They both came out great!

What better way to spend a hot summer day than recording.  Jennifer came all the way from Illinois to record her demo in person.  What a great idea for a field trip!

She brought her husband William for support.
And showed Kevin who is boss!

UCSD, La Jolla Visit with Nile

We had a fun overnighter at our friend Nile's house in La Jolla.  But first we met with Trisha Williams and Joseph Unger for a demo of all things XR at Maveric Studios in the design and innovation building at UCSD.  They have some cool toys!

Thank God Nile has her cat Kushery to keep us happy:

Before we headed to Nile's house for a home made pizza dinner we took a long walk on the beach and then stopped for these photo ops:

Head Shots

We shot head shots for Nikki Allen and myself.  I needed some new ones big time.  It was fun to play "make up" with Chico dolling us up.

Of course Wyatt and I traded cat photos:

And this photo is just sweet.  Bees and flowers:

25 Years of Spongebob!

Who would believe that this little sponge would still be on the air 25 years later?  Well, I'm believing it and am happy to have been there in the beginning.

This guy watches over me every day...

Fourth of July long weekend...

And what did we do?  Ate of course.  And saw "Horizon" to beat the heat.  But the fun stuff was lunch at Don Cucos then a trip to Portos for goodies.  Oh the happiness of bringing home a bag of baked goods from Portos...   Here's my meal at Don Cucos, proving that I'm not afraid of calories.

At The Americana about to see "Horizon."

The next day we ventured to Malibu to beat the heat.  It was so cool there that we had to put on jackets.  Weird since just over the hill it was 95 degrees.  Gotta love a quick ocean escape.  After lunch we went up PCH a little bit more and hit the Starbucks and the Trancas market.  This is where reality/non-reality set in.  I remember many years ago being in that Starbucks and Pam Anderson was ordering a coffee.  Every time we go to this Starbucks I remember her in her Uggs boots, short shorts, boobs out in a sexy top and her blond hair piled on top of her head.  She is a perfect Malibu chick.   And just the night before we were there, Vince and I watched a movie where Nicole Kidman and Zac Effron were in the same grocery store that we were now standing in - in the same spot.  Reality bending...

You can see that it was overcast over the ocean and so cool we needed jackets.  It was perfect.
