Recording Jack Davidson's demo

 Nothing more fun than working on a demo - writing the scripts, finding the right voices and practicing till you're ready to record.  Jack did an excellent job in the studio today.  Congrats!

Thanksgiving arrived...Christmas decorations up...Smokie's first Christmas with us

Woke up to this gorgeous sunrise (thanks to Smokie).  It's enough to make you jump out of bed and cease the day!

Later in the day, we got dressed, went to Mark's house and pigged out on a delicious meal that I forgot to take photos of.   I'm not going to eat for a week! 

I remembered to take a photo of the cake I made - Lemon with lemon cream cheese frosting.  Yum.

The next day we went to the Hammer Museum and got inspired by art:

This is one of the coolest projects I ever saw.  The artist went to all of the cities in Los Angeles and took dirt samples and made them in to square boxes that were then etched with scenes from the cities.  Wow!

Let Christmas begin!  We got the boxes out and decorated.  The house looks so cute.  And it's Smokie's first Christmas with us.  He approves :)

Lorie's birthday party in Santa Barbara

We had a lovely evening celebrating my dear friend Lorie's birthday.  Paella, wine, a band singing classic Beatles songs all under the stars.  I even saw a shooting star.  

DInner with Jocie and Zach pre-baby

 Coming up soon - a baby boy for Jocie and Zach.  Until then...we had dinner at Mess Hall and enjoyed visiting with each other.

A perfect day in Santa Barbara

 Sun and ocean and mountains and my honey.  Not to forget the incredible lunch we had at Santo Mezcal and the delish scoop of McConnells.   Life is good.

After handing out candy we took a walk in our hood.  They closed off one of the streets and there were hundreds of hyped-up kids running around.  Very festive!
