Day Tripping at Desert X in Palm Springs

We enjoyed a perfect day of art and exploring in Palm Springs.
It's Desert X - where the art is strewn all over the desert, you get a map and go see it all.  Such a fun day!  Here we're at the gallery that has the maps.  This piece was incredible:
Infinity and beyond!

We dropped Mark and Rick off at the theatre.  While they were watching "Chess" we tooled around the desert and looked at art.  We picked them up after the show and saw some more.
 Rainbow arch:

 Rabbits!

 A big pink monolith:

Sunnylands - a dream life in the desert

Later we went back to the theatre to pick up Mark and Rick and visit with Ron.  We're so happy for Ron Celona and his beautiful new theatre - The Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre.  We now have even more reason to go to Palm Springs - the Theatre!

More art in the middle of nowhere:

 Ghost Palm:

End of the art show.  We stopped at the Desert Outlets and the guys bought some stuff before we headed home.  All in all it was a fantastic day.

Hiking in Paramount Ranch after the burn

I think it would be sad to hike in this area because of the Woolsey Fire but since it's spring and we've gotten a lot of rain there are flowers everywhere and it's green and the butterflies are skittering around and there's water in the creeks...so it's not so bad.  You get that feeling that life goes on and every day is new.
