July 4th

A lovely day started with a gorgeous sunrise, coffee on the couch and then making a couple of sauces that I'm obsessed with - cilantro lime sauce and a Thai p-nut sauce.  Both are so spicy and yummy.  They taste good on everything.

Breakfast with the boys at Mess Hall to start us off right and then we headed to The Broad Museum for the Yoko Ono Exhibit, which I have to say was really wonderful.  I was very touched by the whole event.

This film was so intense.

I was reminded of what a true artist Yoko Ono is.

After watching this film we went to the playful blue room where there are blue markers and visitors are encouraged to write on the piece.

A couple of movies that Vince shot:

This was the Half Room
This is me dreaming...

This was the "Mom" room where you wrote a note to your mom and taped it to the walls.

I happened to be in the Mom room when my mom called me.  My note is the second one,

It was quite emotional writing to your mother.  You could feel the pain of loss in many of the notes.

I love this Basquiat.  It's always fun to visit.
