We had to put off our vacation for a few months so I still took time off of work and we're doing our "stay-cation" thing. Today was hot - 93 degrees in Los Feliz but a cool 75 and breezy in Ventura.
We hopped in the car and were on the road by 9:00 a.m. We drove to Ventura and visited the Ventura Botanical Garden (which is free on Fridays!) then drove to the ocean and had a delish lunch at Eric Ericsson's Fish House, took a walk along the pier before heading home. It was a five hour extravaganza that got us out of the heat and it truly felt like we were on vacation. Stay-cations are fun.
