The Annie Awards Show has arrived!

After months of watching animated projects, nominating vo actors, voting, the wait is finally over and the Awards Show began.  Royce Hall UCLA is a perfect place to have this event.  Just walking around campus makes you feel creative and you can feel the souls of all who have studied there and then brought their creative skills to our table.  What is that called?  Hallowed Halls?  And...if you have K-Pop Demon Hunters in your project name you probably just won an award - 10 out of 10!  An impressive feat.

Royce Hall is a beautiful place to have this event:
Let the schmoozing begin!  With Jean Thoren, Publisher and President of Animation Magazine.
With Jean Thoren and John Andrews.  John is a producer, writer, actor who has had his hand in many of our favorite animated shows (Beavis and Butthead, Aeon Flux, Rugrats to name a few).  He also produces L.A.F.F. (Los Angeles Animation Festival) and is an all around fabulous guy.
It may have been cold out but our hearts were warm sharing this evening with so many talented, creative people.

I even got a credit!

Breakfast at Mess Hall

Started our day off at Mess Hall with dear friends Mark, Rick and our guest breakfaster, Carole Superfine.  Good friends and good food, a perfect way to start the day.

A quicky Santa Barbara visit

We always have the best time hanging out with besties Lorie and Gug Bartron.  We cram so much in when we're there - we had lunch on the patio (Lorie made home made poke bowls) and then went to a Protest Art show, got smoothies, took a walk by the boats, played with the dog, went shopping, had dinner - all in a day!  After dinner we hung out by the outdoor fire and chatted as we watched the moon (almost full) come up.  The sky was clear and it looked like you could touch the stars.  Very pretty.

Trying red light therapy:

We stopped in Ventura on our way home and got some yummy munchies at JuiceSwell.
Vegan and yummy
