Seems like only yesterday we were celebrating Vince's 30th at Tiki Ti but fast forward 30 years to celebrating Vince's 60th! Whoa. Time really does fly by too fast.
Lunch at Spencers with Stacy Kravitz, who happened to be in town at the same time as us.
The Legacy Villas in La Quinta didn't disappoint. The topography was stunning. And really now, 60?
Dinner at Los Arcos. V's first margarita in his new decade.Sitting on our patio enjoying the view:
Even the bouganvilla is pretty at night:
Tiffany's cupcakes hit the spot. Six different ones. Yummy!
Vince contemplating his new decade. We hung out until we were hungry for lunch. We drove to Tommy Bahamas at the Paseo in Palm Desert.
The food is tasty and the views the best. If you look in the background you'll see all the snow on the mountains but it was 90 degrees in the desert.
We stopped in to Chuck Jones Gallery after lunch as well as Olivier and other shops. Had to buy presents :)
There were the strangest clouds above us:
Circular clouds and shrimp!
After lunch we were going to hike in Henderson Canyon but the parking lot closed at 4:00 and we didn't want to rush so we decided to go back to La Quinta to hike at our leisure.
Camouflaged lizard sunning itself on the rocks:
Made it to the La Quinta Cove. The temp finally cooled enough for us to hike. This area doesn't disappoint:A happy hiker.
OMG! A 10 week old Samoyed puppy that just had to play with us (and us with him) MELT.
The sunset didn't disappoint. We made our way to the village in La Quinta for dinner at Lola's and Ice Cream at the nitro place - it's so good!
The second night the sky had more haze to it so we didn't see as many stars as the night before but it still made for a fun photo
The next morning, view from the patio.
