Paella Party

Vince is making a frozen piece of art for the upcoming show, Comida Y Arte.  We all gathered at Joy and Roland's house to help make the piece and before you knew it the project turned in to an impromptu paella party.

When we were watching the Academy Awards my friend Mark said, "If Billy wins I'm throwing him a dinner party."

Moments later Billy won for Best Editing for Argo.  So the dinner party was on!

I wanted to put these pictures up on my blog because although they're not great shots per se, they have a certain meaning to me.

In this picture of Eric Stonestreet shaking hands with Kobe Bryant you can see that meeting someone you look up to can practically be a spiritual experience.  I really love the emotion in this picture:

And this picture is the inspiration for my next project.  I looked at this old rock and roll guy (anyone know who he is?)  and he's now a main character in a story I'm writing.  I won't give away what its about just yet...

The Call

We had a blast last night at the opening night of Richie and Nicole's new movie, "The Call."  Whew!  What a thrill ride.  My heart was beating so fast I had to remind myself to breath.

Santa Barbara Film Festival

We had an amazing dinner at Opal Restaurant last night.  Vince is showing some of his TECH ART photos there.  After dinner we walked next door to the Arlington Theatre to watch a Q&A with Daniel Day Lewis.   Michael Mann introduced him and later Sally Field gave a funny, sweet speech before giving the award to the very humble Daniel Day Lewis.

On our way home it started to rain and we were welcomed home to  this double rainbow. 

And then we saw the most beautiful sight.   We saw a double rainbow - the full arc from land to land.  I don't think I've ever seen such a gorgeous sight over Canoga Park!

Birthday Fun

Started off with yummy sushi

 Then made our way to Lake Ave. Pasadena trail.  One of my favorite butt busters!

The views are worth the hike up the hill.  The ocean was sparkling, you could see Santa Monica, Century City and down town L.A.

We tried to do a timed photo so Vince could be in a picture too but he didn't make it in time :)

We almost made it to the top but we were thirsty and wanted to get to my birthday yogurt at Froyo.
