Jenna's Wedding Shower

It seems like only yesterday that Lorie and I were in Jr. high school meeting boys and having fun adventures.  In the blink of an eye I find myself at Lorie's daughter's wedding shower.  I feel blessed to have watched these girls grow in to amazing women.

Vince came to the party to take photos.  There were about twenty-five women vs. Vince.....I'm happy to say that I don't think it phased him one bit.  He's definitely a chick's guy, everyone loves him!

My half birthday

Since my birthday is January 3rd I'm usually so burned out from holiday celebrations that I don't even want to celebrate it.  My Nana came up with a good solution, we started celebrating my 1/2 birthday on June 3rd.  She'd send me a birthday card and a gift every year and make a fuss about me.  After Nana passed away Vince picked up where she left off and every year gives me a present (so sweet!).  

This is this year's gift (check out the hand made bow by Vinney).  It was a box full of Porto's bakery goods.  Oh yeah, my guy knows how to get my attention!  Yummy!!!

AEROBIC BUTTER CHURNING ANYONE?

This was a fantastic art show but I know when I think back to it I'll remember the Aerobic Butter Guys who do aerobics and churn butter at the same time.

Easter Weekend Funtime

Started off the holiday by making coconut cupcakes.  Yummy!  I quickly gave a bunch of them away so that I wouldn't eat them all...

Spent a lovely day at Descanso Gardens.  Vince was working so Richie, Nicole, Matt and I went.  We ran in to these lovely ladies - twins - 91 years old - enjoying the beautiful day.

I asked if I could take a picture with them and they were so sweet, "come on, get in the middle."

Giving peace a chance

On Easter Day Vince, Nancy, Audrey and I went hiking at Red Rock Canyon Park.  The sun was out when we got in the car but by the time we got there it was clouding up.  The wind picked up and made the air invigorating and sweet smelling. Perfect for a hike.  Audrey couldn't wait to get on the trail:  "Are we there yet?"

About half way up the trail it started misting and as we climbed the hill it turned in to a steady drizzle.  It felt so good, cooling us off as we shuffled up up up...

Vince had to hide his camera for the rest of the trip so that's all the pictures I have to share of our hike.  By the time we got back to our car we were soaked and starving so over to Kung Pao China Bistro we went for a delish dinner.


We were home in time for sunset.  Here's a picture of my sweet Zuri looking so beautiful as she watched the sunset.
