Bryan Ferry at the Greek Theatre

Bryan Ferry is so smooth and mellow.  He's like a blast from the past.  I spoke with a few people at the event and we were all reminiscing about the Roxy Music show at the Palladium way way back in the day.  That was such a great concert that it's etched in my mind - Bryan dressed as a soldier, his back-up singers strutting their stuff (including Jerry Hall pre Mick Jagger), Eno on keyboards.  And here we are all these years later....dancing and singing on a beautiful night at the Greek.

Dinner with cousin Thomas

I love it when Thomas comes to town.  I don't get to see much family and he represents my NJ clan.  I'm always so happy to see him.

SAG Summer Intensive

It's always so fun to teach these workshops with established actors.  They're all so good! I even gave a "pay it forward" scholarship to one of these actors to help him along the way.

Strange for me but I had a real kiddy kind of week.  We babysat Sophie, which was so fun.  We made her this t-shirt while she watched.  She loved it.

And then a few days later I was in Santa Barbara and hung out with these cuties.  I love being an honorary auntie.

Neon Museum

Had a lovely lunch and a trip to the Neon Museum in Glendale with Eiko and Sophie.  But the most fun was when we got home and Sophie and I played Boggle.  She beat my ass practically every game and I loved every second of my whooping by an 11 year old.

Whenever we take selfies with Eiko her eyes are almost always closed so now we all have to have a picture with our eyes closed to get it out of her system :)  hahahaha!

July 2nd Let's Get This Party Started

Why wait until the 4th of July to see fireworks?  We spent a gorgeous night at The Hollywood Bowl enjoying the fireworks show as much as the band - Nile Rodgers and Chic.

And then the disco masters Nile Rodgers and Chic played and we were off of our butts and up dancing the rest of the night.   Can you say "Le freak, c'est Chic"

Here's a pup we met on the way to our seats.  I don't know who is cuter...they both look pretty happy to be there.

Lunch at Ocean

A perfect stop for lunch on our way to the train station.

Frederick Weisman Foundation

We spent a few hours oogling the modern art at the Weisman Foundation.  Couldn't take pictures inside but wow the art collection is unbelievable. You'll just have to go and see for yourself.

A quick trip to Lompoc to visit Mom

The traffic Gods were smiling on us and we got up and down the coast without any traffic.

Here we are in Lompoc at the marsh fields.  It was wicked cold and high tide.  Invigorating.

Woman's Workshop

Spent a lovely Saturday afternoon with these ladies for our "Woman's Workshop."  It was such an uplifting day of sharing and learning about animation and games acting.  Every one had a smile on their faces.  It's amazing how fast we all bonded.

We fit ten girls in the room and we were able to remotely watch each actress when they were in the booth recording.  

Easter

Spent a lovely Easter with Richie, Nicole and Matt.  We had lunch at Lure (two hot fudge sundaes!) and then took a hike up Coyote Canyon, which is where I bit the dust last month.  I sucked up my fear, wore the proper shoes and had a lovely hike.  I even showed everyone the rock that my face met last time I was on that trail.
