Happy New Year! 2022

 The big day arrived.  

Happy New Year breakfast at Superba.

And the food was supreme!  Good way to start the new year - with good friends and good food.

Our first Christmas with Topaz

 Each cat is so different.  Zuri wouldn't leave us alone when we were opening gifts, she had to help open the packages.  You would have thought the gifts were for her.  This year is our first year with our dear Topaz.  He greeted the holiday with a fierce "I can really give a care" attitude.  Like I said, all cats are so different.  In the middle of us opening presents he snuck off and went to bed...but he looked cute while he was up :)

We had to hide any presents with ribbon or string on them.  The minute he saw this one package with curly ribbon he went nuts.

A Merry Christmas indeed

After two days of rain it was such a joy to get outside on Christmas Eve day.

Thanksgiving wasn't all that thankful...

 The Tuesday before Thanksgiving I fractured a tooth and have been in pain and can't eat.  I also can't get a dentist to fix it over the holiday so I'm limping through the days until I can see the dentist.  Thank God Vince is taking excellent care of me and this guy lightens my mood no matter what.  I love my boys.

Solvang and Santa Barbara

 We did a quick weekend get-away to visit with Mom in Solvang for the afternoon and then an overnight stay at Lorie and Gug's house in Santa Barbara.  Amazingly fun time jammed in to a little over 24 hours.

We met the newest addition to their family - 12 week old Aja - a mini Aussie.  What a darling little thing.  We're in love.

I knew this day would come...that moment when you realize that the little baby you were holding in your arms a few years ago is now taller than you.  Where the hell does time go?  

Feels like yesterday....

Matt is lucky I'm not posting his naked booty picture from when he was a couple of months old!  Instead we'll put up Nicole and Matt at a Christmas photo shoot.

 We enjoyed our walk today.  All the decorations make it so fun to stroll around.
