Remembering Curt Mahler

It's been four months since Curt unexpectedly passed away.  It's hard to believe he's gone.  His wife Kathy put on a Celebration Of Life that was very loving and life affirming.  Curt had a LOT of friends - hundreds of them showed up at the celebration.  I've met so many of them through the years and one thing we all had in common - we loved Curt and were happy to be together and pay homage to a great man.  Our Three Stooges annual gatherings will never be the same.  Curt was the one who called everyone and made sure we bought our tickets.  He was our ringleader and will be greatly missed.  It was nice to celebrate him and see all of the lives he's touched.  We may seem happy but this is at about 3 hours in and we've had lunch and cried and have finally had a chance to remember our dear friend.

High school buddies - Mario, Miguel and Bruce.

Jeff wore a Scary Cherry and the Bang Bangs shirt when he knew that Mario would be there.  A collector's item!
Natasha Middleton, Chris Mahler, me, Kathy Mahler, Colin Mahler. After the tears it was nice to hang out and enjoy each others company. We planned to meet at the Stooges Festival this year and keep the tradition going.

We all go back many years.  So we had lots of stories about Curt.  We agreed that our table knew all of the x-rated stuff that we couldn't share with the rest of the room.

This was one of the best parties I ever attended.  Everyone was full of love, the only thing missing was Curt.  RIP my dear friend.  You'll always be in our hearts.
