Angeles Crest Forest

We haven't been to the Angeles Crest Forest since the big fires but a friend told me that there were a lot of wildflowers among the burned trees, so me, Vince and  Nancy took a drive and to our surprise found a beautiful eden full of flowers and blue skies and fresh air.  It was heaven on earth!


We had a picnic at Charleton Flats and then took the old fire road for a hike in wonderland.

Anyone know what kind of plant this is?

We were in a sea of purple.  Some of the plants were at least 8 feet high.

I love the contrast of the burned out tree and the white yucca flowers.

The eye candy around here was astounding!

These plants were pushing their way through the blacktop ready to help the area regrow after the devastating fires.

There was beauty abounding but there was always the reminder of the fires as we enjoyed the day.

Glamour Puss

Whew!  I was Vince's model last weekend.  It's a lot of work being a glamour puss.  It took two hours to apply make-up and curl my hair.  Every time I looked at myself I asked, "who's that?"
