Finally got up to Santa Barbara for a visit with mom.  The sun was shining, it was about 75 degrees and the air was delightful.  Heavenly.

While we were hanging out in the back yard I noticed this whole world that was growing between the bricks beneath our feet.  Here's a close up:

New Years Eve - I have a head cold so we grabbed a quick bite at Cafe Gratitude and were home by 7:00.  But I made it up past midnight so there! 

Eating chocolate and sipping bubbly until the clock strikes midnight.

On New Years Day we saw a wonderful film, "Little Women" and then basked in the lights at the Americana.  A nice way to end the holidays.
