Christmas 2022

 I was wrapping presents on the 24th mid-day when my throat started to get sore.  I felt like I was fighting a cold for a few days and right at the holiday it decided to move right in....so I was sick for Christmas Eve and Christmas day.  We had Chinese food take out instead of me making the Italian meal I had planned.   We still enjoyed Christmas and even took a walk around the lake and let the sun from the 81 degree day wash over us.

 While everyone is freezing their asses off...we're enjoying December and all of its California majesty.  The sky is a light show every sunrise and sunset.  All you have to do is look out your window...

Each morning is so different.  Today was breath taking...a gift for getting up early.  The day awaits!

Christmas Season 2022 - the lead-up to the big day...

It's been perfect weather to turn on the oven and bake some goodies. Nuts and maple syrup granola.  Man this tastes good over yogurt and fruit.

I'm not the only one who knows how to make dessert at our house....Vince made this McConnell's vanilla ice cream with gingersnap cookie crumbs and whipped cream delight.  He rimmed the glass with chocolate and chopped peanuts.  Yummmmmmmm

Got a quick visit in with Mario and Miguel.

Our family of three.  We didn't know if Topaz would make it to Christmas but he did and we're happy he's still with us.  He's really been enjoying having us both home.  He manipulates Vince all day. :)
