Fun things that happened this Memorial Day weekend...

Who doesn't love random gifts?  Vince came home with a box of my favorite candy for no special reason, he just knows how much I like this stuff...yum!

And for a lovely start to the weekend...had breakfast with my friend Nile and her son Constantine.  So good to catch up after not seeing her for a few years (covid and she lives in La Jolla).  Nile and I worked together at Carolco Pictures - that was like a million years ago.  Damn, time flies by fast.

The next day we met with Nikki, Chris, Parker and Wyatt Allen.  We took a nice walk on the cliffs of the Palisades and then had lunch at Matthew's Garden Cafe.  A lovely Sunday.  I adore this family.  They're so creative, kind, smart and talented.  I've had the pleasure of teaching both Parker and Wyatt voiceover acting and produced demos with them.  They're also musicians as well as actors.

 I always feel so connected to nature when we go to Malibu Creek State Park.  It's truly heavenly there...

Mothers Day in Solvang

 We hoofed it up to Solvang and met mom to celebrate her special day.

Solvang is so gorgeous this time of year.  Flowers everywhere.

SOVAS AWARDS JUDGE

 I've judged voiceover entries for the SOVAS AWARDS for the past few years.  I always say yes to judging because I like to hear new and emerging vo talent - and there's a LOT of talent out there.

Sometimes you have to sit on the couch....

 I broke a tooth and needed to get an implant put in.  That changed my whole week - lot's of reschedules and missed events.  This is one I'm bummed I missed the most - The screening of "Relationship Rehab" at the Beverly Hills Film Fest.  Here's Nikki Moore (with glasses) at the fest.  She said it went well.   Sigh....healing takes a minute when you have mouth surgery.  I'm so impatient and want to resume my usual activities.
