Breakfast at Vivienne

 We branched out and met Billy at The Avalon Hotel (Vivienne) in Beverly Hills for a lovely breakfast club.  We sat by the pool and enjoyed watching the raindrops hit the pool for a moment before the sun came out.  It was good to get out of our hood and of course, we stopped at Cake Monkey on the way home and bought many goodies.

Uncle Bob's 85th birthday pool party

Had a fun day with the family celebrating Uncle Bob's 85th!  His good friend Phil and his daughter Lorie joined us too.  So happy to celebrate with them all:

Tommy, Michelle, Kathy, Phil, Uncle Bob, Lorie, Me, Kristen, Bobby, Vince and Jayden.

I've known Phil as long as I can remember.  That's why I think of him as "Uncle Phil"  I started having flashbacks to when I was around 5 years old and Phil and My Uncle Bob coming to visit us.  These two are trouble makers :) ha!  You should hear the stories that they tell from being stationed in Hong Kong when they were in the marines.  Total '60's Rat Pack stuff.   They were telling stories, giggling like little girls because they knew it was wrong.  "Penicillin is your friend" came up more than once :)

I didn't get to join them but I wanted to put these pics up of my Uncle Bob visiting my mom in Lompoc.  Thanks Kristen for driving up there.  It meant the world to my mom and I know Uncle Bob was happy too.  

SAG Conservatory Workshop - August 2, 2025

 I taught a different kind of workshop this weekend (instead of acting) -  a voiceover demo prep class.  Had around 50 people getting ready to prep their demo.  I enjoyed helping them.

What an incredible night.  I'm still flying high from the entire production.  Everything was amazing - the singing, the choreography, the stage design, the musicians, the dancers...

And Josh Gad as Herod was a kick.  He had covid and missed the first two shows but luckily for us we got to see him on the third night.  I liked the comic relief after such a heavy subject.

Double Duty today - recorded Liam Armitage and Kalista Keshmeshian's animation demos

 I love demo recording day.  It's so creative and the start of something that can be your career for the rest of your life.  Today we recorded Kalista and Liam.

It was the first time recording at a pro studio for both of them.  They did so great!

None of this can be done without the support of mom!

Hanging at Canters, celebrating Migs birthday

Had some deli food at Canters with friends I've known since Jr. High.  I always enjoy hanging with my constants and it was fun to see Mig on his birthday and our dear Mario and Maddie who are visiting from Texas.

A night at the Hollywood Bowl - enjoying The Planets

We spent a beautiful night with our dear friends The Hernandez Family (Michael, Elizabeth and Claire) at the Hollywood Bowl.  The Philharmonic performed The Planets, conducted by Leonard Slatkin.  They also performed "The Lark Ascending" by Vaughan Williams - wow - what a gorgeous violin piece played by Martin Chalifour.  There was also an extra treat that Daniel Slatkin composed (the conductors son) called Voyager 130.  All in all a fabulous night.

 My life on zoom....

Drew is in New York, I'm in L.A.  We meet over zoom and record.  It works out fine except I'd rather go to the studio but since Drew is in NYC....a remote record works.

 I planted these sunflowers from seeds so they feel like my kids.  Here's my first born:

Zoom and my constant companions

 Smokie and Izzy are my constant companions.  I love watching them sleep while I work.   I teach on zoom.  You'd think they'd be doing voiceovers by now.  :) 

The Harkness Family hits L.A.

 So happy to hang with my cousins from Florida:  Thomas, Lauren, Tyler and Ryan.  We had lunch at Mess Hall and then up to the Observatory.
