Happiness in it's simplest form

Just having my boy Smokie sleep against me makes me so happy.  He has a habit of sitting with me in the morning and I'm like a little puppy dog waiting for his love and affection.  Oh cats, how did you get under my skin so strongly?

Finally out and about again...

 January 17, 2026 marked the day that I first met Vince 32 years ago.  Wow, time does fly fast.  But this weekend I would say is our official "getting back out there" day.  After Vinney's surgery we had to stick close to home for a couple of months but we're back in action!  It feels so good to see our friends.

Later in the evening we went to a David Bowie tribute band.  It's been 10 years since Bowie left this earth and we wanted to remember him, so we went to this concert.  It was pretty funny seeing all the old men and ladies singing along to Bowie songs.  Shit, I'm old!  I forget sometimes :)

The next day we had an amazing lunch at Chris and Eiko's house.  Eiko made a beautiful charcuterie plate, then home made sushi (omg so good) and tiramisu for dessert.  Yes, I LOVE my friends (especially when they feed me :)

Rainy, cold and gorgeous!  We started the new year with something we Californians always need...rain.

It's always hard (sad) to put away the decorations.  I don't want the holidays to end!  This photo shows all the decorations that we forgot to put away and eventually put in a bag to store for next year....
