Santa Barbara hang

It's amazing what we can jam in to 24 hours.  We got our butts up and out of the house and were in Santa Barbara by 10:30 in the morning.  Had a quick pit stop at Lorie's house and away we went to Los Olivos for a hike on Figueroa Mountain.  We drove past Lake Cachuma and were so happy to see the reservoir full of water, the grasses green and wild flowers everywhere.  We also found the road to Figueroa closed because there were so many flower enthusiasts that the cops were turning us flower lovers away.  So....we went to Los Olivos and shopped around.  Lorie and I both bought summer dresses and the guys did their best to follow us around from shop to shop without getting too bored.

We were finally allowed to go up the mountain to see the wildflowers.  We got up there, parked and walked a few feet before we decided we were hungry and didn't have the strength for the 4 mile hike to where the main flower show was.  We turned around and drove to the Vega Winery for a delicious lunch and hang on a gorgeous winery and farm.  We ate, fed the animals and enjoyed the scenery.  I could feel everything drop and I felt really happy just to be alive.

We made our way back to Lorie and Gug's house and chilled out in the back yard.  A little later Lorie and I went in to town and had foot massages.  Spoiled!  Yes!!!  We got back to her house and she made us an amazing miso brown butter fried sage pasta that was so good I over ate.  Couldn't stop myself!

And we got a dog fix which was really needed as right now we don't have a pet.  This is Aja.

The next day we had breakfast at Alessia's (which is so damn good) and then took a stroll through Alice Keck park.

We were obsessed with this pink tree.

After our park visit we ran back to Lorie's house, grabbed Aja and went to the beach for a walk and some salt air infusion before heading back to L.A.

On our way home we stopped at McConnell's and had some more joy

We were home by 3:00, happy as a clam after another beautiful weekend.
