Nothing like 100 degrees in the desert to get the summer started. Pulled out the bathing suits and chilled in hot hot hot land. No hiking but it was still very enjoyable relaxing in the warm dry air and the nights were divine. No sweater needed.
We met Kristen at Tommy Bahama's for drinks and dinner. The food was surprisingly good.

This artist is from Ghana. I love his work - recycled plastic cans cut in to pieces and strung together with wire.

There was a glass exhibit that really wowed. You can't really tell in this photo but this was jaw dropping beautiful in person. All glass.
Our second weekend in a row that we viewed an Anselm Kiefer piece of art. This guy is one of my favorites. The energy in his work is very moving. This was titled "Mary Ascending"
